ABOUT US

Annual branch activities include sponsoring  a Math Superstar competition for all the elementary schools and sponsoring a few schools to compete in the Odyssey of the Mind Program.

The branch also awards scholarships to women in need of financial assistance to attend college. Review or download the application now. The deadline to submit an application is March 12, 2010.


MEETING DATES, PLACE AND TIME:

The Manatee County Branch meets the 2nd Saturday, September through May at 9:00AM at the Bradenton Country Club.  Please contact Eunice Hartshorn at 798- 9144.  for reservations. Reservations must be made the Wednesday prior to the Saturday meeting.

                                                             2009  PROGRAMS


Saturday, March 13th - 9 am -Speaker: Brian HershEducation and Outreach Director, Asolo Repertory Theater.  Brunch $13 per person. Reservation deadline is March 9th; cancellation deadline before 9 am March 12th.
Friday March 26th - 10 am.  Tour of FPL's DeSoto Next Generation Solar Energy Center in Arcadia.  Lunch will follow at Wheeler's Cafe in Arcadia.  Directions are in this issue of the Manatee Messenger.  Contact Sylvia at scprice@verizon.net for more information or to let her know you plan to attend.
Thursday April 15th - 9 to 11:30 am.  Manatee Branch Math Superstars Challenge Test for Elementary School students.  Manatee Technical School.
