The purpose of AAUW is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. LAKE WALES BRANCH AREA SERVED Located in central Florida’s vacation and recreation heartland, the Lake Wales Branch draws members from throughout  Polk County. This includes the cities of  Bartow, Frostproof, Haines City, Lake Wales, Lakeland, and Winter Haven.
